What are the risks associated with dental implants?

It's important to discuss your specific circumstance with your implant dentist. In general, if you are smoker there are complications that can be associated with placement of your implants. If you are a uncontrolled diabetic or have osteoporosis and are on medication to control those it can affect the success of your implant treatment.
